An anti-terrorism court (ATC) reserved its verdict on Wednesday on a plea pertaining to the statements of major witnesses from the Joint Investigation Teams (JIT) in Orangi Pilot Project director Perween Rahman murder case.
The petitioner's counsel had maintained in the plea that the statements of around 20 major witnesses included in the five JITs in the case should be recorded as per the Supreme Court's orders.
The counsels of the parties in the case completed their arguments.
The court remarked that the verdict reserved on the plea will be announced on May 24.

Rahman was gunned down in Karachi in 2013.
Extension granted
Meanwhile, another ATC granted an extension to the prosecution for provision of copies of the cases, pertaining to interference in Anti-encroachment operation in Memon Goth and violence during by-election on PS-88, against Sindh Assembly opposition leader Haleem Adil Shaikh.
The court granted extension and adjourned the hearing till June 19.
