Inoculation of Sindh Police underway

The first dose of the coronavirus vaccine was administered to SSU Deputy Superintendent of Police Rao Aslam

KARACHI:

Innoculations of the Special Security Unit of Sindh Police began on Monday with a vaccination centre inaugrated at the SSU headquarters. The first dose of the coronavirus vaccine was administered to SSU Deputy Superintendent of Police Rao Aslam.

Other vaccination centre for the Sindh Police were set up at the East deputy inspector-general's (DIG) office, the West DIG's office and the Police Hospital, Garden.

Security and Emergency Services Division Deputy Inspector General Maqsood Ahmed visited the SSU headquarters and inspected arrangements at the vaccination centre.

Police officials are frontline fighters and are most exposed to the contagion, said Maqsood. The innoculation process at the police vaccination centre is to continue from 9am till 4pm daily.
