Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said labourers are guarantors of national development and prosperity. The minimum wage of workers in Punjab has been fixed at Rs20,000 per month.
Provincial Minister for Excise Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed and Provincial Minister for Sports Taimur Bhatti called on the governor to discuss political and government issues as well as the overall situation in the province.
Sarwar said, “The negative politics of the opposition has always failed and will continue to face the same fate. Those who wish for elections before 2023 will be disappointed.”

Chaudhry Sarwar claimed that the opposition was trying to destabilize the country but the government through its performance had always thwarted its plans.
Pakistan will continue to move forward successfully in every sector, including the economic front by overcoming the challenges, he added.
Urging the citizens to comply with the coronavirus safety SOPs, the governor said that SOPs can help us prevent a spike of the pandemic and the government will not have to impose a stricter lockdown. They said the government was also ensuring the provision of all facilities in hospitals.
