LAHORE:

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said the government will ensure all measures including e-filing in courts to facilitate overseas Pakistanis.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Vice-Chairman Muhammad Wasim Ramey and others on Wednesday.

The meeting deliberated on provision of more facilities to overseas Pakistanis and the solution of their problems.

The governor said that allowing expatriates to vote in the next elections is also a priority of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

He highlighted that for the first time in the history of the country, the federal and Punjab governments are facilitating expatriates and standing for their best interests.

During the meeting, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that in order to provide timely justice to overseas Pakistanis special courts will be set up and the facility of e-filing for cases will also be provided.

“The provincial law department is working expeditiously in this regard,” the governor underscored.
