Balochistan Minister for Revenue Saleem Ahmed Khosa said the establishment of new administrative units in the province a necessity of time and circumstances as the population of Balochistan was increasing tremendously.
“Comprehensive measures should be taken under the integrated strategy for the benefit of people,” said the provincial minister, while chairing a meeting on setting up new administrative units.
Citing the convenience of people and keeping in view the administrative affairs of the province, Khosa said new divisions, districts, tehsils, sub-tehsils and sub-divisions would be set up in the province so that people did not have to travel long distances to solve minor issues.
“People should have access to education, medical treatment and other basic necessities in nearby areas,” he said, adding the provincial government was taking all possible steps within the available resources for the welfare of people.
