SnackVideo teams up with the Edhi Foundation for a smile inducing Ramadan initiative

Every year the holy month of Ramadan graces us with its presence and reminds us that it’s a key time for the Muslims to demonstrate unity and come to the aid of those who need assistance. Charity is not only beneficial for those who receive it, there also lays a great reward for the ones who give.

In hope of giving back to the society, SnackVideo, a popular short video sharing platform joined forces with Edhi, one of the most authoritative NGO’s in Pakistan, to kick-start the #EidwithEdhi initiative on April 14 as a part of its all-round Ramadan campaign.

It only has been a week since the commencement of the SnackVideo x Edhi fundraising campaign, and the video has already garnered enthusiastic response on social media, thereby achieving a phenomenal success of raising over 5,000,000 rupees.

All people had to do was share a video of their smiley faces with the hashtag #EidwithEdhi on SnackVideo, and upon each share, Rs10 per video was to to be donated to the Edhi Foundation for children and families haunted by poverty, starvation and deprivation.

Besides the commendable fundraising campaign, users can also explore other myriad activities on SnackVideo. For example, 'Ramadan Live Carnival' provides an opportunity for users to unleash their creativity to livestream and create entertaining contents. Whereas, food aficionados can share their recipes, enjoy watching cooking videos and have fun playing games at #RamadanRecipes.
