Qavi Khan is among the few individuals in the country who have consistently showcased their artistic prowess at the highest level for the past many decades. Be it television, theatre or radio, he has entertained generations for over 40 years with practically every medium there is.
While the actor today battles old age, he has not lost his love for the entertainment industry. Few are aware of Qavi’s impressive filmography that boasts of over 200 projects. Recently, actor Junaid Khan, who has been working with the veteran in a new drama serial, penned a note for the renowned star.
Sharing a picture of the two from the sets, the former Call front man shared, "Qavi Sahab! A born legend. Recently had the honour to spend some quality time with this great man. His perseverance and his dedication have always been beyond inspirational."
Junaid added, "A true benchmark for us in terms of performance and patience. His level of patience and his humility while onset or offset has always inspired me." The actor concluded by saying, "Lots and lots of learning can be extracted from this wonderful human being and an ace performer. May he always continue blessing us with his skills and his love."
However, the Shayad singer isn't the first celebrity to have paid homage to the living legend. Last year, Farhan Saeed penned a heartfelt note for Qavi. "Anyone who has worked with Qavi Sahab would know his demeanour only commands the utmost respect. He motivates younger actors by encouraging them to push the bar with each performance," he had said, adding, "To encourage us, Qavi Sahab always tells us, we are better at what we do than his generation was. His wealth of experience is a guidebook for those who have only just recently joined the industry.”
Farhan had gone on to call his followers to join him in celebrating the legend. "For these reasons and many more, I wish to pay tribute to him and I call on each of you to also celebrate the legend that he is," the Suno Chanda star had commented.
