KARACHI:

Federal Railways Minister Muhammad Azam Khan Swati urged on Saturday the completion of planned development and upgrades to different freight-related installations in Karachi.

The minister paid visits to the Karachi Bunder yard, Wazir Mansion, Reti Lane and Groyne Yard on the day to review the progress of ongoing development projects.

“To obtain significant revenue from freight services, we need to upgrade provisions at different facilities,” he said. The minister believed this would pave the way to increase the number of freight trains per day.

He issued this statement during the visit to Karachi Bunder Yard.
