Samina Ahmed set to make her Hollywood debut

The ‘Waris’ actor might be seen alongside Nimra Bucha and Bollywood star, Farhan Akhtar in ‘Ms Marvel’

Samina Ahmed, who recently appeared in Suno Chanda, is shooting for a Hollywood project in Thailand according to her husband, Manzar Sehbai.

In a recent Insta post, when a fan inquired about Sehbai’s significant other while he received his first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, he revealed that she was in fact in Thailand shooting for a project which will mark her Hollywood debut.

“Where is Samina ji?” asked Rubina Javed, to which Sehbai responded, “She is in Thailand, shooting for a Hollywood serial, will be back on May 6.”

However, the Bol actor did not reveal what project Samina is working on. But the veteran star could also be a part of Ms Marvel, a project of Disney+ and Marvel Studios. Because an Indian news outlet recently disclosed that Farhan Akhtar is also stationed in Bangkok at the moment, for the shooting of Ms Marvel along with several international celebrities.

Aside from him, Ms Marvel features Iman Vellani in the leading role, Churails actor Nimra Bucha in a supporting role among other celebrities.

Previously a press release revealed by Marvel stated, “The Marvel Studios original series centres on fan-favourite Kamala Khan — a 16-year-old Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. A great student, avid gamer, and voracious fan-fic scribe, Kamala has a special affinity for superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel.”

Talking about the masterminds behind the camera, Indian-American director Meera Menon, Pakistani-Canadian filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and Belgian-Moroccan auteurs Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are working behind the screens of the same project.

The said series is slated to release later this year on Disney’s streaming service called Disney+.
