Yet another PCB post for Intikhab

Former manager appointed to replace Zakir Khan.

Relieved of his duties as Pakistan team manager due to a heavy burden, Intikhab Alam has now taken over from Zakir Khan as Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Director Cricket Operations International.

Zakir, in turn, has replaced former first-class cricketer Sultan Rana who oversaw domestic cricket after his decision to join the Asian Cricket Council as manager events and operations. Rana, who played 172 first-class matches and 32 List ‘A’ matches, will leave the PCB position next month.

Meanwhile, the board had earlier removed Alam as team manager, a decision that surprised many, and appointed governing board member Naveed Akram in his place. The PCB cited Alam’s need to stay in the country for the game’s development before omitting former fast-bowler and assistant coach Aqib Javed out of the touring party as well, citing the same reason.
