A meeting chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal on the progress of South Balochistan Development Programme has decided to construct 16 new dams in the province. The meeting reviewed the ongoing and new projects apart from financing plans included in the development package. It was attended by the principal secretary to the chief minister, secretaries of the departments concerned and officials of the planning and development department. Briefing the meeting, it was informed that the package includes 199 ongoing and new projects worth Rs6 billion. Health, education, public health infrastructure and road facilities will be provided in nine districts of South Balochistan.
