A differently-abled girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and filmed in the rural area of Mouza Kundi, Lodhran on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the victim was repeatedly rape by five suspects over the past three months. On the day of the incident, the suspects had filmed her rape and blackmailed her father into giving them money.
The victim, a 16-year-old deaf and mute girl, was the daughter of a security guard.
The video of the heinous crime was also made viral on certain social media platforms. The DPO took immediate action and arrested the two alleged rapists and a case had been registered against them.
According to Lodhran SHO City Raees Ali, the 16-year-old daughter of Muhammad Hassan, a resident of suburb village Kundi, who works as a security guard for a private company, was deaf and mute by birth.
The suspects identified as Hassan and Ijaz, two youths from the area, allegedly raped her and made a video of the heinous act and made it viral on social media.
Taking notice of this rape incident, DPO Syed Karar Hussain ordered the immediate arrest of the suspects.
Both the suspects had been arrested and a case was registered against them.
The initial medical report of the teenage victim proved the rape. Samples had been sent to Lahore for further DNA tests. A case had been registered against five persons at City police station on the complaint of the victim’s father.
The father alleged that the alleged rapists blackmailed him and demanded money while making threats after the incidents.
The victim’s father maintained that he got married 30 years ago, after which he and his wife had five children.
Both the security guard’s eldest daughter, the victim, as well as his 5-year-old son were deaf and mute.
After the rape incident, the teenage victim entered the house in a deteriorated condition after which she told her parents about the assault, her father claimed.
The victim, who communicates through sign language, told her parents that there were five unidentified men involved in the sexual assault, some of whom raped her repeatedly over the past three months.
The victim’s father claimed he remained silent out of fear. However, after his daughter was filmed and blackmailed, he approached police.
In the viral video, the suspects Masmi Mohammad Ijaz and Mohammad Shaan could be seen assaulting the victim while three unknown suspects kept guard while filming the incident
The victim also confirmed the rapists by watching the video. The alleged rapists blackmailed the victim’s father into giving them money otherwise they would leak the video and ‘cause irreparable damage to the family’s honour.’
Lodhran City police launch further investigation into the matter.
