Three siblings crushed to death in Peshawar accident

Bodies were handed over to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities, police say

Three siblings including a young girl were crushed to death on Wednesday when a speeding dumper ran over their motorcycle within the limits of Machni Gate Police Station in ​​Peshawar.

According to police, a speeding dumper carrying marble rammed into a motorcycle on Warsak Road, killing three persons on the spot.

The deceased who were residents of the Christian Colony have been identified as Salman Farooq Masih, Naveed Farooq Masih and Parya Farooq Masih.

Their bodies were handed over to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities.

The negligent driver of the dumper identified as Ajmal Abdul Qadir, a resident of Chal Ghazi Baba, has been arrested by the police and a case has been registered against him.

Confirming the arrest, Peshawar SSP Operations Yasir Afridi told The Express Tribune that traffic police teams have been conducting awareness campaigns in public places including educational institutions regarding traffic rules.

Meanwhile, preparations have been completed for the final rites of the three siblings belonging to the Christian community at a cemetery in Peshawar.

The entire Christian community of Peshawar has expressed deep grief over the incident.
