In an academic council meeting, the Women University Swabi decided to establish the Department of Architecture and introduce degrees in BS Public Administration and BS in Commerce.
During the meeting, the council also approved the courses to be recorded online at the Center for Online Learning, said a university spokesperson on Sunday.
The forum also approved the establishment of Professional Development Center and the list of market driven and entrepreneurial courses for the empowerment of female youth of Swabi district.
VC Prof Dr Shahana Urooj Kazmi said the establishment of Department of Architecture would open new avenues for the female youth of the country as the architecture sector of the country had a very low number of ladies.
She said this degree program will attract females from all over the province and make them empowered to open their architecture firms, initiate their startups and entrepreneurial ventures.
The members of the meeting expressed concerns over the rising cases of Covid-19 and decided to shift physical classes into hybrid mode from March 22 till March 31.
