ISLAMABAD:

The Supreme Court has reserved the decision on Justice Qazi Faez Isa's application to permit live broadcast of his review petition against June 19 order, 2020 wherein the Federal Board of Revenue was directed to conduct inquiry against undeclared foreign assets of his family members.

A-10 judge larger bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial conducted seven hearings in the case wherein Justice Isa himself passionately argued before the court.

Earlier, Munir Malik argued the petition against the presidential reference of the SC judge removal. Later, the lawyer could not appear due to his illness. In the meanwhile, the bench allowed Justice Isa to argue his case himself.

Justice Isa along with his wife and daughter remained present in the courtroom throughout the case proceedings.

At the end of hearing on Thursday, Justice Isa urged that the future of generations lied in the hands of the court as it had to decide whether truth should be broadcast or not.
