Man turns out to be killer of wife and daughter

Suspect had affair with his sister-in-law due to which he decided to murder his family

The rickshaw driver turned out to be the murderer of his wife and daughter who were shot dead in Kahna area three days ago.

DIG Investigations Shariq Jamal said that the suspect, Dilawar Khan, was married to Ayesha Bibi and the couple had children.

He added that Dilawar had an extramarital affair with his sister-in-law. “He hatched a plan to murder his wife.”

Reportedly, the suspect Dilawar hired an assassin identified as Nauman to kill his wife.

The DIG further said that police had arrested both suspects and were investigating the matter further. According to the police report, the alleged murderer identified as Dilawar, who worked as a rickshaw driver, was returning home to Hayer with his wife Ayesha Bibi, daughters Maheen, Aafia, Falak Bibi and son Haris, after attending a marriage ceremony on March 15.

As they reached near Sui Asal, unidentified motorcyclists intercepted them and tried to loot valuables on gun point. They looted Rs18,000 from the victims.

When the suspect tried to pluck golden earrings from Ayesha’s ears, she offered resistance. The suspects resorted to firing. As a result of the incident, Ayesha and Maheen sustained bullet injuries and eventually died.

Police had registered a case against the suspects on the charge of murder during robbery.

Police launched the investigations and included Dilawar into investigations over suspicion. The DIG stated that police were investigating the matter further.
