Law & Order: Impersonator and lawyer caught
misleading the court on the pre-arrest bail application of a man who was already in the police custody.
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge (AD&SJ) on Wednesday issued notices to a lawyer, a man who impersonated a petitioner and his four guarantors for August 26 for their role in misleading the court on the pre-arrest bail application of a man who was already in the police custody. AD&SJ Muhammad Saleem issued notices to Advocate Chaudhry Zulfiqar and the alleged impersonator Zulfiqar and his four guarantors after a police official on the court’s direction produced the actual petitioner along with the case record and the original register (Roznamcha) before the court. The register revealed that the accused was arrested on August 4. The petition for pre-arrest bail was filed on August 5.
