FAISALABAD: The City District Government (CDG) is continuing its crackdown against the violators of the Ihteram-i-Ramazan Ordinance and rounded up nine owners of hotels, canteens and shops on Wednesday. The arrested persons have been sent behind bars for two days. A CDG spokesperson told reporters that Assistant Controller (AC) Sadar conducted raids and arrested hotel owners Muhamamd Akram and Shahid Mehmood from Dijkot, Zulfiqar and Muhammad Ehsan from Sammundri Roadred for selling food to customers during fasting hours. Similarly, AC Chak Jhumra caught two hotel owners Muhammad Yaqoob and Muhammad Rafiq from Talal Wala and Muhammad Shafiq eating in his car.
