Mason arrested for abducting married woman

A woman filed a report at Waris Khan police station that a mason has allegedly kidnapped her married daughter

RAWALPINDI:

A woman filed a report at Waris Khan police station that a mason, Abdul Wahid, has allegedly kidnapped her married daughter along with 10 tolas of jewellery, Rs370,000 cash and two smartphones.

The complainant, Fehmida Bibi said her daughter’s husband was overseas and she was living with her. She had hired the services of Wahid to construct an extra room in the house.

Meanwhile, Wahid and her daughter became friends and she would often make him tea and cook food. Fehmida said, a few days ago she caught them in an objectionable state and forced Wahid outside the house.

On Saturday morning at around 6am Fehmida said she found her daughter missing, soon she saw the drawer of her wardrobe open too with jewellery and cash missing.

Police registered a case of kidnapping and easily traced Wahid by asking about his whereabouts from labourers who hang out on the roadside from where Fehmida had picked him up. Police raided his house and arrested the mason and the young woman.
