ISLAMABAD:

The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) arranged a hands-on e-office training for virtual training offered in collaboration with the National Council for Information Technology (NITB).

E-office is an electronic system of office and operational management which will help make functions more efficient and improve accountability at the Higher Education Commission (HEC), a spokesperson said the other day.

The programme is being implemented across various ministries in the government and has been approved by the Federal Cabinet and the Nation e-Government Council, they added.

HEC staff will now be able to benefit from training with on-site instructors to answer questions and practically work through problems faced by employees. Members from the Faculty Affairs Division were trained in the first round while other HEC divisions will receive similar top-up training in the weeks to come.

Faculty Affairs Director General Raza Chohan appreciated NAHE for conducted this training as well as Saifur Rehman from NITB for conducting an interactive and effective session. The instructor was able to showcase unique features of the e-office system, including databases of all government offices, ministries, and officers.
