One of the most celebrated left-handed-skipper, Imad Wasim took to social media yesterday to reveal that he and his wife have been blessed with a baby girl.
Expressing his happiness on the occasion, Wasim relayed that his wife Sannia Ashfaq and him welcomed their little bundle of joy on Thursday.
Wasim tweeted, “Alhumdu’lillah by the grace of Allah SWT we have been blessed with a beautiful bundle of joy.” He added, “Welcome to the world baby Syeda Inaya Imad.”
Followed by the tweet, former Pakistan cricket captain Sarfaraz Ahmed also congratulated Imad alongside fans that seemed to be overjoyed. "Mashallah boht boht mubarak ho maddy (Mashallah many congratulations maddy),” he wrote.
Other Pakistani cricketers such as Hassan Ali, Fawad Alam, Junaid Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Sharjeel Khan and Haris Rauf followed suit and wished the duo well.
The Karachi Kings captain had tied the knot to Sannia Ashfaq earlier in 2019 at Faisal Mosque Islamabad. The event witnessed both the bride and groom trail in classic ivory hues for the day. Many influential cricketers both current and former were present at the event, as well as the Prime Minister, Imran Khan.
