Dadu court convicts two for raping a minor

A local court in Dadu district pronounced a verdict sentencing two rapists of a minor girl to life in prison on Tuesday. Meanwhile, yet another minor was subjected to rape on the same day in Dadu.
The fourth Dadu additional district and session judge found Bilawal Bughio and Khalid Bughio guilty of raping a 13-year-old girl in July 2020.
The incident's FIR was lodged at Ameenani Police Station on the complaint of the victim's father, Shahid Bughio. The incident had happened in Sajjan Bughio village.
The two convicts had subjected the victim to rape at her home. The medical report established the rape. The convicts were later shifted to the district prison.
Another 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men in Khairpur Nathan Shah taluka of Dadu district on Tuesday. The victim and her mother complained to the police that the girl was abducted and taken to a wheat crop field where she was raped.
Her family searched for her in the village and found her lying unconscious in the field some hours later.
The police referred the girl to the district hospital, where her samples were taken for the DNA test. Khairpur Nathan Shah SHO Ali Akbar Channa said the police searched the unidentified suspects in Khathri village but no arrests could be made.
