Five women and a man attacked and looted cash and jewellery from a housewife who had lodged a complaint about sewerage water running off into her room from a neighbouring house in the Dori Bagh neighbourhood in Nurpur Shahan Bari Iman on Sunday.
The victim Nadia Bibi told Secretariat police that sewage from the neighbouring house ran into her room. Nadia lodged a complaint with the police about this after which the police intervened and made the flow stop inside the complainant’s house.
However, as a reaction, the neighbours broke into Nadia's house tortured her and looted jewelry including two silver rings and Rs50,000 from the victim and fled.
