ISLAMABAD:

An accountability court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of corruption cases due to the lawyers’ strike.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Prosecutor Wasim Javed and witness Ahsan Aslam appeared before the court in a case pertaining to an alleged mega money-laundering scandal.

On the occasion, former President Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur, Anwar Majeed's pleas for exemption from the hearing were filed which the court-approved.

However, as the lawyers did not attend the hearing due to the strike, the hearing was adjourned till March 5.

Meanwhile, the hearing of the Park Lane reference in the same court was adjourned till March 5, while the Pink Residency reference hearing was also put off until March 4.
