E-office to be opened at Peshawar University

Need to have a system where an authorised employee could locate the required documents in the shortest possible time

The Vice-Chancellor of Peshawar University Professor Dr Muhammad Idrees and Registrar Prof Dr Yorid Ahsan Zia held a meeting with high officials of the National IT board in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Dr Idrees informed that there was an immediate need to have a system in place where an authorised employee could locate the required documents in the shortest possible time.

In this regard, the functions and mechanism of E- Office application developed by National IT board was demonstrated in a meeting. CEO National IT Board Shabahat Ali Shah , Director Mr Jameel and Mr Faqir Ullah ensured full cooperation in establishing an E-Office mechanism at Peshawar University.

Peshawar University Registrar Dr Yorid Ahsan Zia said in a meeting that the physical movement of official files and documents consumes a lot of time and requires continuous monitoring from desk to desk before the final decision is made by senior officials.

While expressing his gratitude to National IT Board, the vice chancellor said the E-Office will be a step forward into an era of paperless administration and this digital workplace solution will replace the existing method of manual handling of files and documents with an efficient and speedy electronic system.
