A police encounter in January this year that resulted in the death of a youngster from Hunza has been declared fake.
A youngster, named Sultan Nazir, was killed in an alleged encounter in the limits of Site A Police Station on January 3 in Karachi.
Nazir was on his way to his home via an online motorcycle service when he was shot dead by two police officials, Jahangir and Shabbir at a fuel station.
The police department launched investigations into the matter following protests by Nazir's family. A source privy to the matter, told The Express Tribune that Malir SSP Irfan Bahadur who was tasked with the inquiry has completed his investigation and has confirmed that Nazir was innocent.

The report will be submitted to the Karachi AIG within two days. Police sources said that the report states that the driver of the online motorcycle service had stopped at the petrol pump to refuel his vehicle when Nazir was travelling with him on January 3.
The two accused police officials, who had been chasing two other suspects, opened fire. Hearing gunfire, the driver of the motorcycle Nazir was on fled the site and Nazir attempted to do the same. But the police officials opened fire at him and shot him dead, states the report.
According to Nazir's family, the youngster was returning to his house after attending a funeral in Metroville SITE Area on the night he was killed.
