Minor boy ‘sexually assaulted’ in Dijkot

A minor boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by a neighbour in Dijkot on Sunday.
Police had registered a case against the suspect and started searching for him.
According to the police report, a six-year-old boy, the son of Ghulam Abbas, a resident of Sohailabad, was playing in the street when he was approached by his neighbor identified as Muneeb, the son of Bashir, who took him to an unknown location and sexually assaulted him.
The minor boy made noise which caught the attention of nearby people. As a result, the suspect fled from the crime scene. D-Type Colony police registered a case under section 377 PPC and started searching for the alleged rapist.
Incidents of sexual violence against minors are rampant across the province.
On February 7, a teenage boy was allegedly sexually assaulted near Chowk Steel Bagh, Kasur.
On January 18, a minor girl was sexually assaulted in Dijkot.
The 10-year-old girl was abducted and raped by a motorcyclist in the Razaabad area. He later threw the girl unconscious near Lasani Bridge.
The minor girl had left her home in the afternoon to buy vegetables. The motorcyclist lured her out of the way, abducted her and took her to an unknown location where he sexually assaulted her.
He later threw the girl unconscious near Lasani Bridge in Sargodha Road area and fled. Passersby spotted the unconscious and injured girl
On January 9, a man sexually assaulted and murdered his eight-year old minor brother whose body was recovered from a drain in Nishtar Colony, Lahore.
The victim was a differently-abled child. A cousin of the victim, a five-year-old boy, had also gone missing five months ago.
There was no news about him since then. The suspect had been identified as a 16-year-old boy.
The suspect had lured the victim away from home on the pretext of buying him candies from a nearby shop. He took the boy to a deserted place and hit with bricks and a glass bottle to death after the sexual assault.
The suspect, later on, dumped his body into a drain.
On January 21, a teenage girl was found to be pregnant after allegedly being raped by unknown persons in Chak Jhumra.
The 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by unknown persons who abandoned her when her condition deteriorated.
On December 26 last year, a man was arrested for raping six minor girls in a month’s time in Kasur.
Reportedly, the suspect would lure the minor girls by using different tactics in Sarai Mughal locality, Pattoki tehsil.
The age of the victims, who had identified by the suspect after the arrest, ranged between 10 and 12 years.
On November 28 last year, a 10-year-old girl was abducted, raped and murdered on the outskirts of Harappa.
On November 18 last year, a six- year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by four persons after his abduction in Dholan-Motra village, Daska tehsil.
Four suspects kidnapped the boy and took him to the nearby fields where they molested him.
On November 17 last year, a landlord allegedly raped and murdered a minor girl in Sargodha.
On August 11 last year, a minor boy was taken away by the accused Shah Jahan to a vacant house under the pretext of bringing water. The accused molested him in the house located in Sufyan Town area of Millat Town police station. On June 7, a seven-year-old boy, who was abducted from D-Type Colony area, was killed after being raped.
