Sindh sees 423 new Covid cases, 12 deaths

Sindh reported 423 fresh Covid-19 cases and 12 deaths on Thursday, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s House on the day.

Following the detection of new cases and recent deaths, the coronavirus death toll in the province has climbed to 4,183, and the infection tally to 252,718, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said in the statement.

According to the CM, among the new cases, 244 were reported from Karachi, 40 from Hyderabad, 19 from Mirpurkhas, 14 each from Sanghar and Thatta, 13 each from Jamshoro and Naushero Feroze, 12 from Ghotki, eight from Larkana, six each from Jacobabad and Qambar-Shahdadkot, five each from Badin and Tando Muhammad Khan, four from Khairpur, three from Tando Allahyar, and two each from Shaheed Benazirabad, Sujawal, Umerkot and Shikarpur.

Besides, he added, with 430 more patients recovering from the infection, total recoveries in the province now added up to 229,645.

He said 18,890 Covid-19 patients were under treatment in the province on the day.
