RAWALPINDI:

A night clerk posted at the Gujjar Khan police station has stepped down after filing a report against the SHO of the police station to the CPO.

Head constable Rizwan Asghar has also requested the CPO to launch a probe into "the ill-mannered behaviour and attitude of the SHO" and redress his grievances.

Asghar alleged said had informed SHO Gujjar Khan Malik Khizar Hayat on phone regarding the presence of two suspects in the area late Friday night.

However, the SHO instead of passing orders to initiate action against the suspects, in turn, abused him and asked him to report to the Police Lines, he alleged.

Later, the clerk lodged a report against the SHO and relinquished his post at the police station.

Rizwan has claimed in his report to the CPO that he considered it a disgrace to serve under such an impertinent SHO.
