Pakistan on Friday strongly condemned the gross human rights violations of the Kashmiris being committed by Indian occupation forces. Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi, in their separate messages on Kashmir Solidarity Day, urged the international community to hold India accountable for its crimes against the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).

Soon after, many celebs voiced their support for the suppressed too. Actors such as Mahira Khan, Feroze Khan, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Wahaj Ali, Adnan Siddiqui, Faysal Quraishi and many others took to their respective social media accounts and stood in solidarity with the Kashmiris.

Mahira, sharing a picture of IIOJ&K gripped in barbed wires, wrote, "In solidarity."

Faysal, quoting Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, tweeted, "Who can say it better than Quaid-e-Azam? I remind all that the Father of the Nation had said, 'Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and no nation can allow its jugular vein to be held by the enemy'."

Mom star Adnan wrote, "We stand with the Kashmiris’ right to azadi. This mindless bloodshed and gross violation of human rights in Kashmir must come to an end. They can’t be punished endlessly for their cause of self-determination. We are with you."

Laal Kabootar’s Ahmed added, “Some 12 million Kashmiris are denied the right to self-determination; a right guaranteed in the Indian Partition Plan, in the UNSC resolution. With the abrogation of Article 370, the promised rights of Kashmiris are under extreme threat."

Wahaj from Ehd-e-Wafa agreed. "Azadi, an innocent demand of people living under siege. Modi's fascism sweeps the state of India, hell-bent on changing demographics in Kashmir. The world needs to understand the reality of this human tragedy."

Meanwhile, Feroze shared, "To everyone in Kashmir today… You guys are in our prayers and never forgotten. Stand solid as you have. You guys are pure warriors!"

"Azadi - an innocent demand of the people living under siege. The world needs to understand the reality of this human tragedy," wrote Humayun Saeed.

Earlier, in his message, Alvi had said that resolving the IIOJK issue in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people are the key to durable peace in South Asia. “The denial of this right and subjugation of Kashmiris is the very negation of human dignity,” the president said, calling self-determination one of the fundamental rights codified in the United Nations Charter. “Demographic apartheid in the occupied territory by the Indian occupation forces is a further violation of international law, wherein the Kashmiri majority is being turned into a minority in its own land."

Prime Minister Imran said Pakistan would remain unshakable in its solidarity with the Kashmiri people until they realise their inalienable right to self-determination.
