An accountability court directed the relevant authorities on Thursday to submit a report at the next hearing pertaining to the confiscation of property of former federal minister Babar Ghauri, who is the main accused and a fugitive in a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reference pertaining to illegal recruitments in the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and abuse of powers.
The court was hearing proceedings in a reference pertaining to illegal recruitments in KPT and abuse of power.
The investigating officer sought more time to submit the report regarding confiscation of property of Babar Ghauri. The court directed the investigating officer to submit the report at the next hearing. During the hearing, a report confirming the death of co-accused Spars Khan could not be submitted. The court adjourned the hearing till February 26, ordering the IO to confirm the death of the co-accused.
