In a mega operation conducted against encroachments in Sector I-15/4, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) retrieved 350 kanal government’s land on Monday.
Illegal constructions had been set up on the land for the last 16 years, said CDA official, adding that those who interfered in the operation were detained on the spot.
As part of its ongoing anti-encroachment operation, the official said the civic body’s enforcement department carried out a mega operation in the sub-sector of I-15 during which 350 kanal land was freed of unlawful settlements.
“Land mafia had occupied the said land for years,” the official said. “They had constructed a house with boundary walls, shades for animals and other buildings on the land.”
The deputy director of the enforcement department, assistant directors and other staff took part in the operation, the official added.
