The district education officers of (DEOs) of the Rawalpindi division have started preparing recommendations for the upcoming conference summoned by the Punjab education ministry.
DEOs of the Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum have been told to draft proposals regarding digitalisation of the students’ data including their B Forms, streamlining the pension process of the educators and the classroom regulations during Covid-19 pandemic, besides other agenda items.
Education Ministry Secretary Sarah Aslam has announced convening a two-day educational conference of the heads of the district education authorities (DEAs) of all 36 districts of Punjab.
The conference will be held on February 8 and 9 in Lahore and will be chaired by Education Secretary Sarah Aslam.

Many important decisions on the major issues are expected to be taken in the two-day education conference.
The matters on the agenda will include new admissions, annual examinations amid the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as a timely clearance of immediate pension dues at the time of retirement, collection of B-form for computerised data, ongoing inquiries against teachers, court cases, ongoing development schemes in schools, vacancies for teachers, and rationalisation.
All district education officers (DEOs) are strictly required to attend the conference and have also been directed to bring detailed reports about their districts.
