Sindh Assembly parliamentarian and senior PTI leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi has written to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah asking him about the progress made to date with regard to the Karachi transformation plan.

In a handout issued by Naqvi's office on Wednesday, he said that four months had passed since the Karachi transformation plan's announcement.

He said since the plan had decided that building control, solid waste management, mass transit and transport institutions were to be separated, he would like to be apprised what progress had been made to date in the matter.

The PTI leader also stressed on the need to make Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) an independent and powerful entity to put an end to the ongoing illegal construction in the city.

Naqvi requested the chief minister to speed up the various projects pertaining to the improvement of basic necessities to the people.

He also urged the CM to provide details of the projects under the Karachi transformation plan which will commence or be completed this year.
