At least four drug traffickers were arrested by Levies forces in a successful operation in Balochistan’s Kohlu district. The deputy and assistant commissioners of the area said the operation was carried out after a tip-off from Afghan authorities.
The confiscated drugs include heroin, crystals, ice and hash whereas two motorcycles, a pistol and mobile phone were also recovered from their possession. Personnel of the Levies force also exchanged fire with the smugglers during the raid but no loss of life was reported.
“The nabbed group has been involved in drug trafficking in East Balochistan for a long time," the deputy commissioner said. “Drug dealers are smuggling for a few bucks and luring the youth to the point where a large number of people in our society are addicted to drugs like crystal, heroin and ice".
