Karachiites flocked to Frere Hall on Saturday- the second day of a marigold festival organised by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.

Appreciating the flower show, citizens said such events should be organised annually and played a significant role in promoting activities for enhancing the city's beautify and improving its environment.

Karachi administrator Laeeq Ahmed said that the purpose of organising the flower show was to raise awareness about flowers and promoting love for gardening among citizens.

He said the KMC had made arrangements for different companies and institutions to participate in the event and that authorities planned to hold the flower show every year. The show, which began on January 22, will end today (Sunday).
