KURIANWALA:

A man throttled his wife to death over unknown reasons and later committed suicide by hanging himself in Kharrianwala.

According to police officials, Kashif's five-year-old son Kawish saw his father’s body hanging and informed neighbours about the situation.

The neighbours contacted Kashif's father who arrived on the scene and reported the incident to the police.

Police said Kashif, a 39-year-old resident of Tipu Colony, was a coworker of his 25-year-old wife Sadia Bibi at a local textile mill and he had killed her at night for unknown reasons.

Both bodies were shifted to a hospital for postmortem, while the police started investigating the matter.

SHO Kharrianwala Inspector Mohsin Munir Basra explained, “Kashif had married Sadia after the death of his first wife.

He had a five-year-old son from his first wife, while this was also the second marriage of his slain wife, Sadia, who had divorced her first husband and married him around eight months ago.

We are investigating the matter and action will be taken as per the law.”
