MPA urges judicial probe into UK scandal
PML-N lawmaker Hina Pervez Butt has demanded an “inquiry commission” of senior judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan to probe into the Broadsheet scandal. She submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly secretariat. Pervez also questioned the appointment of Justice (retd) Azmat Saeed as the head of the committee formed to investigate the matter. She contended that it is astonishing that Justice (retd) Saeed, who had been part of the bench which announced the decision against PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif in Panama case had been appointed as head of the committee to probe into the scandal.

She added that the former judge is also a member of board of governors of the Shaukat Khanam Hospital. She elaborated that billions of rupees were wasted in the matter but the government had found nothing. She demanded that Prime Minister Imran Khan withdraw the name of the head of the committee. Talking to The Express Tribune, MPA Hina Pervez Butt said, “PM Khan is making a mockery of the whole system as he is non-serious and inefficient in running the state matters.”
