22 more Covid fatalities reported

The Punjab health department has conducted over 2.6 million tests for confirming coronavirus infection

LAHORE:

The Covid-19 pandemic has claimed another 22 lives with 734 new cases in Punjab during the last 24 hours.

According to the data shared by the spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Sunday, the number of coronavirus cases in the province reached 149,222 with 4,409 total death toll.

The P&SHD confirmed that 477 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, 29 in Gujrat, 28 in Faisalabad, 25 in Sargodha, 24 in Multan, 19 in Okara, 18 in Rawalpindi, 14 in Sialkot, 13 in Nankana Sahib, nine in Khushab, eight each in Mandi Bahauddin, Bahawalpur and Toba Tek Singh, seven each in Vehari and Jhelum, six each in Sheikhupura and Kasur, four each in Hafizabad and Narowal, three each in Mianwali and Jhang, two each in Bhakkar, Khanewal, Pakpattan and Sahiwal, and one each in Gujranwala, Layyah, Chiniot, Lodhran, Dera Ghazi Khan and Muzaffargarh districts during the last 24 hours.

The Punjab health department has conducted over 2.6 million tests for confirming coronavirus infection so far whereas at 133,952 patients have recovered from the disease in the province.
