KHUZDAR:

A six-year-old child died after being burnt and allegedly raped in Khuzdar district’s Sultanabad area.

According to the child’s parents, he was burnt by the police so that the evidence of rape could be erased.

Sources familiar with the matter said the child died after a 24-hour life-threatening struggle at a local hospital. The child’s family demand an investigation of the incident by the government to ascertain the truth. They urge authorities to dispense them justice.

According to details, two days ago, a six-year-old boy was shifted to Government Teaching Hospital Khuzdar in critical condition where his heirs alleged that the child was burnt after being raped.

Police surgeon Dr Javed Ahmad Zehri dismissed the allegations of the heirs after an initial medical examination, stating that “during the initial medical examination, I did not find any evidence of abuse but I am still sending samples to the forensic lab for testing.”

SHO City Munir Alam Jattak also denied the allegations of the family and said initial investigations revealed that the incident was an accident. Further investigations are still underway.
