Gohar Rasheed reveals why youngsters today are 'self-centered, opportunistic'

Actor details the 'obsession' that has made so many under-30 individuals feeling insecure and competitive

Popular actor Mirza Gohar Rasheed's Friday tweet has hit quite close to home, and many under-30 individual would surely want to read it.

The Rangreza actor took to the micro-blogging site on Friday afternoon to convey an important message.

To highlight the restlessness among the youth nowadays, majority of which is a result of the pressure to become established and successful at an early age, Gohar (36) stressed on how that has turned us into careless, self-centered, opportunists.

“Our generation's obsession with having established careers before 30 and getting followers on social media platforms has led to everyone becoming hyper-competitive, opportunistic, self-centered and deeply insecure,” wrote the actor.

He then asked everyone on their high horses to calm down, and wished for their dreams to come true. “I wish everyone would just relax a bit and may all your wishes come true.”

Rasheed is best known for his work in the internationally acclaimed film Seedlings, for which he was nominated in the best actor in a supporting role category at the 2012 New York Film Festival. He was also nominated in the best actor category at the 13th Lux Style Awards.
