At least seven suspects carrying sophisticated weapons were apprehended by police outside Sessions Court on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson said, the suspects were carrying heavy firearms and had gathered inside a playground colloquially known as Baba Ground.
Police noticed the presence of the suspects and arrested them on account of weapon display before any untoward incident occurred in the vicinity.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Shehroz, Imran, Ahsanullah, Asif, Bilal, Faisal and Riaz. Police also confiscated five rifles, five pistols and approximately 700 bullets from their custody.
The held men were then shifted to Islampura Police Station for further legal action.
