The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has decided to start a digitalisation project on the direction of the PHA Chairman Asif Mahmood.
PHA Chairman has directed to digitised all records of the authority. Under the project, all parks across the district, data of plants to be planted, and attendance of PHA employees will be digitised.
The project will be completed in a month, making the PHA the first fully digitised government department in Rawalpindi District.
The IT experts have already started working on the project.
Moreover, PHA has started the restoration of the desolated Tench Bhata Family Park. Tench Bhatta Family Park covers an area of four kanals but has been in a poor condition for the past two decades due to lack of maintenance while it does not even have its boundary walls.
However, PHA has taken the initiative to maintain the park with the installation of beautiful swings, new lights, plantation of flower plants, and installation of benches for women and families visiting the parks. The entrance gate of the park has also been renovated.
It has been decided to complete the beautification and renovation of the park within two weeks. The park will be officially inaugurated at the end of January this year.
