Famed Pakistani actor Ahsan Khan is currently gearing up for one of a kind celebrity talk show on Express Entertainment. Titled, Time Out with Ahsan Khan, the show will see some of our favourite celebrities spilling beans on their professional front and personal lives. But don't expect it to be just a quintessential talk show! The latest celeb tete a tete promises to be a fun watch, with not just a routine question and answer part, but few game shows as well!
"Time Out with Ahsan Khan promises to be a roller coaster!" Khan tells The Express Tribune. "We have filmed some eight to ten episodes so far and it has been such fun. Every episode has around five to seven segments. Since it isn't a live show and a recorded one, we aren't restricted with our approach towards what we want to keep or remove from the show."
However, the one segment that Khan is most fond of is still the chit chat bit of the show, he says. "When we are having a chat on the show, it feels like we are having a meet-up at one of our houses. Whenever celebs have something to say, that really is interesting to listen to," the Udaari star continues. "Apart from this, there is another segment where the celebs have to mimic a famous personality or dance to a particular song. That is a lot of fun as well."
Khan adds how his upcoming show has raised the bar for a standard talk show. "Express has really raised the bar with this show," he remarks. "I don't think any show has or even in the past had a set like this. There are new segments, new elements in this show that were not introduced before on television. The OST is brilliant. This was a great team effort. Everyone has worked so hard on it and it shows. You will have to wait for the first episode to see what I am talking about."
The Bandhay Ek Dor Se star went on to share how the only purpose of the show is to highlight the fun-loving side of the celebrities. "My previous show had a serious discussion on every other episode. But with Time Out, we plan on bringing forward the side of the celebs we didn't know before," Khan added.
Earlier, while speaking to the publication, Khan divulged why his talk shows work extremely well. "When hosting someone from the fraternity, you have to first understand they are humans as well. What many forget while conducting interviews is that our [public figures] lives are as flawed as their fandom so we have to be really careful about peeping into the lives of others.”
The key, he had remarked is how you frame your questions. "I feel like it's all about words. You have to frame your questions in a manner that is not offensive to your guests. You certainly cannot ask someone to come on your show as your guest and then nitpick into their personal matters. You should make your guest comfortable enough; make sure they trust you to open up to you. It is a great responsibility," he shared.
