Dirilis: Ertugrul actor Celal AL who played the role of Abdul Rehman Alp is a part of a Turkish delegation that arrived in Pakistan. The delegation met PM Imran Khan on Thursday in Islamabad, where the premier urged the country’s film and drama industry to come up with a quality local production to provide the youth with a welcoming Ertugrul-like alternative of substandard and glamourised content.

The actor also met Pakistani stars Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui. The latter then penned a note and post a few pictures from their meet-up. "A Lilliputian moment," the Mom star wrote on Instagram. "The man in the middle stands tall in physical appearance and commands immense respect as an actor-star too. Abdur Rehman on-screen and real-life Cel AL has won many hearts in Pakistan with his role of a valorous warrior who is distinct in actions and thoughts. We were no exception!"

He went on to add, "Look at the grins on our faces! For the entire time he was in the room, it was bursting with an infectious joie de vivre. Didn’t feel like we were meeting him for the first time. Though he says he’s fallen in love with Pakistan and our hospitality, I must tell you, my friend, you have got two fans for life in megastar Mr Humayun Saeed and a fairly popular actor - yours truly."

The superstar duo also met the producers of the famous Turkish drama serial. "Sharing some candid and some posed shots from our meeting with the Turkish delegation that includes producer of the famous Ottoman epic Diriliş: Ertuğrul, Mr Kamal Tekdin, our honourable ministers Mr Shaheryar Afridi and Mr Shibili Faraz with Dr. Kashif Ansari of Ansari films."

In November last year, it was announced that Pakistan and Turkey are joining hands to start a new era in the Pakistani entertainment industry. Siddiqui had then to Instagram and shared, "As millennials say; “super stoked” to bring to you a partnership that transcends borders. Pakistan and Turkey have joined hands in a collaboration between Kashif Ansari’s Ansari films, TRT films and Kamal Tekdin’s Tekdin Films to usher in a fresh era in Pakistani industry."
