Man assaulted, robbed by wife, in-laws

The police have registered a case while further investigation is underway

A man was allegedly assaulted and robbed by his wife and in-laws in Ghousia neighbourhood in the precincts of Kallar Sayedan Police Station on Sunday, a spokesperson shared.

The victim, Khalid Pervaiz, told the police that his wife went to her mother's house after getting offended when he scolded her for beating their five-year old daughter. However, she returned to her husband's house in the evening with her mother.

The next morning, the complainant asked his wife to make tea in which she allegedly mixed something, owing to which Pervaiz started to lose consciousness after drinking it.

The victim informed the police that the suspects allegedly ran away with £3,000, Rs1 million and five tolas worth of gold. The police have registered a case while further investigation is underway.
