Pakistan Army troops have shot down yet another Indian spying quadcopter in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Chakothi Sector along the Line of Control (LoC), military said on Saturday.

“The quadcopter intruded 500 meters on Pakistan’s side of LoC,” military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said in a statement.

Similarly, on January 1, 2021, an Indian quadcopter was shot down by the country’s security forces in Nausheri Sector along the de facto border.

A similar device was shot down by Pakistani soldiers in Hotspring Sector on December 31. It had come 100 metres inside the Pakistani territory.

“The unprovoked act was responded befittingly wherein own troops shot down the quadcopter,” ISPR had said.

At least 16 Indian quadcopters were shot down by the Pakistan Army in 2020, according to the military’s media wing.
