Why Deepika Padukone decided to wipe out her social media

According to The Indian Express, the Padmaavat star deleted all her tweets and Instagram pictures on December 31 and had zero posts and tweets on the morning of January 1.
Initially, her fans and followers thought about whether Padukone's social media platforms had been hacked. However, it subsequently came to notice that it was the actor who changed her display images. Later in the day, it became clear why Padukone decided to wipe out her social media platforms.
Padukone has started 'My Audio Diary' on social media in which she records her 'thoughts and feelings'. She shared her first video while talking about 2020. The actor also wished her fans 'Happy New Year'.
In the audio, the Tamasha star was heard saying, "Hi everyone. Welcome to 'My Audio Diary', a record of my thoughts and feelings. I'm sure you will agree with me that 2020 was a year of uncertainty for everybody. For me, it was also about gratitude and being present. For 2021, all I can wish for myself and everyone around me is peace and good health. Happy New Year."
Sharing the post, she wrote, "It’s 1.1.2021! Happy New Year Everyone! What are you grateful for...?"
