The completion of Daducha Dam is indispensible to end water shortage in Rawalpindi, said Commissioner Muhamamd Mahmood.
Chairing a meeting to review progress on the construction of small dams in Potohar region, he ordered preparation of a financial plan for the Daducha Dan project that has been delayed for over eight years.
The commissioner directed officials to start environmental impact survey, chances of water pollution in catchment areas, and flood threat for Chahan Dam.
In view of the declining water situation, the Daducha Dam is indispensable for Rawalpindi and there is a clear judicial direction to work on it, he said.
