RAWALPINDI:

The prices of cylinder gas, wood, coal, and kerosene oil have jumped up in the market as the weather got colder after the snowfall in Murree and Galyat.

In absence of natural gas supply in pipes, people were forced to adopt any alternative mean to cook food and keep their homes warm.

As observed in a market survey, the price of 45-kilogramme liquefied petroleum gas cylinder in the market has increased from Rs5,000 to Rs5,400 while its price in summer was Rs4,000.

The price of a refilling an 11 kilogrammes small LPG cylinder was Rs1,000 but it has been now increased to Rs1,500 while the mini 5kg cylinder was being filled for up to Rs600.
